Please choose your category, take a video recording of your performance (Make sure jury can see your hands) and upload it on Youtube, (either public or unlisted private video is fine) , and send the link of video to:

There will be St.Petersburg Prizes, Gold Prizes, Silver Prizes, Bronze Prizes for every category at the online Video Competition.

Candidate can choose more than one category.

No more than 5 minutes video recording, repertoire of candidates' free choice.

Born after 2003 July, 30th - Under the age of 16 

No more than 7 minutes video recording, of candidates' free choice.

Born after 1999 July, 30th - Under the age of 20

No more than 8 minutes video recording, that includes:

1) One piano etude from any of these composers: Liszt, Chopin, Debussy, Scriabin, or Rachmaninov. 

2) One Composition of candidates' free choice.

Born after 1991, July 30th - Under the age of 28

No more than 10 minutes video recording, that includes:

1) One etude from any of these composers: Liszt, Chopin, Debussy, Scriabin, or Rachmaninov.

Born after 1979, July 30th - Under the age of 40

*Notification: Due to the situation of coronavirus COVID-19, the grand final competition dates has been drafted from July 2020 to Spring 2021. The exact date of final competition will be published soon after European Online Competition.

 

*Out of all categories jury will vote for outstanding candidates to win the St.Petersburg Prize. The St.Petersburg Prize could be awarded or not in any of the age categories and disciplines. The St.Petersburg Prize Winners can choose if they would like to go and perform, compete in St.Petersburg, and the live final winners concert will be held at Capella Grand Music Hall in Spring 2021.

The competition final round organization (HongKong International Master Performers) will contact the St.Petersburg Prize winners and offer the conditions and information for them.

For St. Petersburg Prize Winners, you need to play the following pieces from your chosen category:

Professional Artist

Final Competition LIVE in St.Petersburg:

No more than 50 minutes live performance, that includes:

1) Two Scarlatti piano sonatas, or one of the Bach's well tempered clavier, or one of the Shostakovich's prelude and fugue;

2) Any piano sonata from Beethoven, Haydn, Schubert or Mozart.

3) Any composition that is composed in 19-20th Century.

Virtuoso Artist

Final Competition LIVE in St.Petersburg:

No more than 25 minutes live performance, that includes:

1) Two Scarlatti piano sonatas, or one of the Bach's well tempered clavier, or one of the Shostakovich's prelude and fugue;

2) A fast movement of any piano sonata from Beethoven, Haydn, Schubert or Mozart.

3) Any composition that is composed in 19-20th Century. 

Young Artist

No more than 10 minutes live performance, that includes:

Russian Composition Category

Final Competition LIVE in St.Petersburg: Balakirev - 'Islamey', or Glinka-Balakirev - 'The Lark', or Kabalevsky - Variations for Piano op.40 no.1

Romantic Composition Category

Final Competition LIVE in St.Petersburg:

1) Any piece that is written in Romantic period. (Can be the same piece as before)

2) Any Piano Etude.

19th-20th Century Composition Category

1) Any Work from 19th-20th Century, and the level is similar to Chopin Waltz, Debussy Prelude, Debussy Etude etc.

2) Any Piano Etude.

Piano Four-hand Professional Category

Final Competition LIVE in St.Petersburg: No more than 12 minutes.

1) Any movement from Mozart Sonata in B flat Major, KV.358

2) If time allows, another composition of candidates' choice.

Piano Four-hand Young Category

Grand Final Competition LIVE in Capella Concert Hall in St.Petersburg: No more than 8 minutes.

1) Any movement from Mozart Sonata in D flat Major, KV.381

2) If time allows, another composition of candidates' choice. 

Piano Four-hand Children Category

Final Competition LIVE in St.Petersburg: No more than 5 minutes.
