Applications of minor musicians must be filled and submitted by their parents or legal guardian.
Once an online application is sent, it may be resubmitted to change its content. Only the last version submitted will be considered by the jury. Once the application fee is submitted, it cannot be reimbursed.
The International Jury's decisions are final. The Jury's votes and opinions are strictly confidential.
The Jury will decide to award Gold Prizes, Silver Prizes, Bronze Prizes for every category in the European Online Piano Competition. Results will be published in May, 2020.
Candidate can choose more than one category.
The European Online Video Competition is organized by World Musicians League Ltd. and the Grand Final Competition in St.Petersburg is organized by HongKong International Master Performers Ltd. The application fee submitted on our website is only for the European Online Video Competition, but not for the Grand Final Competition.
The Gold Prize Winners have the qualification to ask to showcase and publish their performance on our website, if they would like to do so.
For all the St.Petersburg Award Winners:
Out of all categories jury will vote for outstanding candidates to win the St.Petersburg Prize. The St.Petersburg Prize could be awarded or not in any of the age categories and disciplines, the prize is only for qualification, it does not pay money award or travel expenses.
The Grand Final competition organization - HongKong International Master Performers will contact all the St.Petersburg Prize winners individually, to offer the fee and conditions for entering the grand final in St.Petersburg. The winners are free to choose if they would like to go performing and competing in St.Petersburg or not. The winners concert will be held at Capella Grand Music Hall in Early 2021.
The St Petersburg International Piano Competition is organized by HongKong Maters of Performance Ltd. The competition is open to independent piano players.
If an applicant is under 18 years old, the application form must be sent by a parent or guardian of the applicant.
The applications are reviewed and judged separately in each of the categories, listed on the competition’s Regulations. The first round of the audition process includes screening of the audition materials by the St Petersburg International Piano Competition Committee, which select applications for finals. Then the selected applications are delivered to the panel of judges, who make a decision regarding the Winners. The panel of judges includes high-profile musicians and teachers.

Participants are required to submit video for the audition.
Audition materials need not be of a professional quality but should be a fair representation of the applicant’s abilities. It is entrant’s responsibility to ensure that the submitted material (-s) are complete and playable.
If you are applying in multiple repertoire categories, each entry will be considered as a separate application.
Each application should be accompanied by a separate application fee.
Applicant may submit several pieces in each repertoire category and may also enter the same piece in more than one category.
No changes of repertoire are allowed after the application is submitted.
All entries become the sole property of St Petersburg International Piano Competition and none will be returned for any reason. Entries must be received no later than the Competition Deadline. Entries will be rejected if they are late, incomplete, damaged, irregular, mutilated, forged or garbled. St Petersburg International Piano Competition is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, postage due, stolen, incomplete, or misappropriated entries.
The St Petersburg International Piano Competition Organizational Committee and the judges of the St Petersburg International Piano Competition do not give feedback or a critique to entrants. No communication or correspondence is guaranteed to be exchanged with applicants except with those selected as Winners.

Competition results will be published on the St Petersburg International Piano Competition website on the date announced for the specific competition.
Winners of the Competitions who were awarded the performance at the Competition Winners Recital at Cappella Hall will perform the pieces selected by the Organizational Committee from the applicant’s audition repertoire. Performance time limit is stated on the Competition’s website.
Detailed Recital Guidelines will be emailed to the winners along with the notification of their award.
All participants are responsible for their own expenses related to the participation.
Winners of the first category are expected to perform. The impossibility to perform at the winners’ recital would result in the loss of the award. Minors must come to New York with their parents or legal tutor, otherwise the First prize of the first category will be awarded to the second winner of the specific section.
By entering the Competition, an applicant releases and holds St Petersburg International Piano Competition harmless from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to the entrant or any other person, including personal injury or property damage, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any Award, participation in the Competition and/or Recital, any breach of the Competition Rules, or in any Award-related activity. The applicant agrees to fully indemnify St Petersburg International Piano Competition from any and all claims by third parties relating to the Competition, without limitation.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
St Petersburg International Piano Competition no responsibility or liability for lost, late, unintelligible/illegible, damaged, misdirected or incomplete entries, notifications, responses, replies or any release, or for any computer, online, software, telephone, hardware or technical malfunctions that may occur, including but not limited to malfunctions that may affect the transmission or non-transmission of an audition materials. St Petersburg International Piano Competition is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users, by any of the equipment or programming associated with, or utilized in the Competition or by any technical or human error, which may occur in the administration of the Competition.
St Petersburg International Piano Competition assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, audition materials.
St Petersburg International Piano Competition is not responsible for any problems, failures or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, providers, computer equipment, software, e-mail, players, or browsers, on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, at any website, or on account of any combination of the foregoing.
St Petersburg International Piano Competition is not responsible for any injury or damage to entrant or to any computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this Competition. Entrant assumes liability for injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participating in the Competition, or by the acceptance, possession, use of, or failure to receive any Prize.
By participating in the St Petersburg International Piano Competition , each participant agrees to be bound by the competition Policy and specific Competition Rules, as amended, which are posted on this page and on the Competition website. Participant further agrees to be bound by the decisions of St Petersburg International Piano Competition and the Organizational Committee, which shall be final and binding in all respects.
St Petersburg International Piano Competition reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any applicant found to be: (a) violating the General Policy and Competition Rules; (b) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Competition or the World Musicians League Website; (c) violating the terms of service, conditions of use and/or general Policy or guidelines of the competition; and/or (d) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.

By participating in the Competition, an applicant:
Grants to St Petersburg International Piano Competition the right to use his/her name, mailing address, and e-mail address (“Personal Information”) for the purpose of administering the Competition, including but not limited to contacting and announcing the Winner.
Grants to St Petersburg International Piano Competition the right to use his/her Personal Information for publicity and promotional purposes relating to the Competition, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without further compensation.
By entering the Competition, an applicant represents individually or in case of an ensemble, jointly, that he/she or they read these Policy and the Competition Rules and consent to the Policy and Competition Rules.
